Forcing the opponent with mandatory captures can win material.
Because captures are forced, you can sometimes put your opponent in zugzwang — every legal move loses something.
A side that is 'in tempo' controls the forcing sequence. Look for moves that leave your rival with only bad jumps.
This is an advanced idea; feel it by replaying your Board Reviews and noting where a forced line flipped the advantage.
